Our School Library

A library is a collection of books kept for reading and reference. Our school has a well-furnished library on the ground floor of the main building. It is a large, airy room with many shelves full of books on different subjects such as literature, science, history and geography. There are also newspapers, magazines, dictionaries and encyclopaedias. A librarian looks after the library and keeps a record of the books. Every student can borrow one book at a time for a week by using the library card. There is a reading room where students can sit and read quietly. Silence is strictly maintained there. The library helps us to widen our knowledge beyond the textbooks and develops the habit of reading. I visit the library regularly during the free period. Our school library is really a treasure house of knowledge and we should take full advantage of it.
