শফিক ও সজল দুজন বন্ধু। শফিক তার বন্ধু সজল এর কাছ থেকে এক সপ্তাহের জন্য কিছু টাকা ধার নেয়। এক সপ্তাহের মধ্যেই টাকা ফেরত দিবে বলে সজলের সাথে ওয়াদাবদ্ধ হয়। পনেরো দিন চলে যায় কিন্তু শফিক আর দেখা করে না। টাকা চাইলেও ফেরত দেয় না। অন্যদিকে রফিক তার বন্ধু মুমিনের কাছে কিছু টাকা গচ্ছিত রাখলে তা ফেরত চাইলে যথাসময় ফেরত দেয়।
