রিফাত একজন শিল্পপতি। রিফাত সম্পদের হিসাব না করে সামান্য অর্থ গরীবদের মাঝে প্রদান করে একটি আর্থিক ইবাদত পালন করেন। অন্যদিকে রিফাতের বাবা জনি সাহেব জুমার নামাজ আদায় করতে গিয়ে মসজিদে বসে ইমাম সাহেবের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয়ে আলোচনা শুনছিলেন। তিনি বললেন, মানুষ লোভ লালসা, হিংসা-বিদ্বেষ, ক্রোধ, ক্ষোভের বশবর্তী হয়ে মন্দ কাজে প্রভাবিত হয়। এমন একটি ইবাদত আছে যার মাধ্যমে এই মন্দ কাজগুলো থেকে দূরে থাকা যায়।

মসজিদে আযান হলে রহমান তার মেহমান জামানকে বলেন, চলেন ভাই মসজিদে গিয়ে সালাত আদায় করে আসি। ইচ্ছে না থাকা সত্ত্বেও জামান তার সাথে মসজিদে গিয়ে সালাত আদায় করল। অপর দিকে সেজান সাহেব স্বল্প বেতনের চাকরি করে সংসার চালান। তদুপরি তিনি অবৈধ উপার্জনের চেষ্টা করেন না। তাই সান্ত্বনা দিয়ে তার সহকর্মী ফারজানা বললেন, শীঘ্রই আপনার জীবনে সুখ আসবে।

সাকিবের বাবা হৃদরোগে আক্রান্ত হয়ে মৃত্যুবরণ করল। যার কারণে সে সকল অপকর্ম ছেড়ে দিয়ে পবিত্র জীবনযাপন শুরু করল। আর ছোট ভাই রাকিব পিতার মৃত্যু উপলক্ষ্যে দোয়ার মাহফিলের আয়োজন করল। সেখানে কয়েকজন আত্মীয়-স্বজন মিলে কুরআন খতম দিল। কিন্তু মসজিদের ইমাম সাহেব তাদের কুরআন পাঠ শুনে বললেন, এক্ষেত্রে তোমাদের আল্লাহর নির্দেশ অনুসরণ করা জরুরি।
